The Cascade team recently returned from the city of angels after being a key exhibitor at the 34th annual IHRSA trade show on March 11-14th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. At this dynamic international exhibition nearly 400 exhibitors displayed the latest innovations in the fitness industry.
The new CMXRT created the most buzz as the first recumbent bike that can be used in a group cycling class. John Macgowan, who writes a great indoor cycling instructor blog, highlighted this Cascade bike in a post called “What I saw new and/or cool at IHRSA 2015.” “As I walked past this display I did a double take and then it hit me, there’s a huge population of people who are intimidated by the skinny, little seats on Indoor Cycles. Obese/overweight people for starters and you can’t forget seniors. Together they make up a sizable demographic that we are completely missing. They’re two groups who would really benefit from the comfort of riding on a recumbent, with its large seat and easy to step through design.”
The new CMXERG+ also received big thumbs up from many potential customers. Portability, great product quality, and pricing value were some of the reasons customers told us this new product would be so well received by end users.
When asked about the show, company President John Post said, “it was exciting to see so many distributors and clubs excited about Cascade indoor bikes – I think the “fantastico!” I heard expressed by distributors from Peru and Bolivia says it best.”
The next IHRSA show will be held at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, Florida, on March 21-24, 2016.
